It is a good choice for travelers who want to see the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu without spending several days on the road. On the first day, you will visit Awanacancha, Pisac, Urubamba and Ollantaytambo. Along the way, your guide will share information about the history and traditions of the area. In the afternoon, you will take the train to Aguas Calientes and stay overnight there. On Day 2, you will visit Machu Picchu with your guide before returning to Aguas Calientes. After some free time for lunch or to walk around town, you will take the train to Ollantaytambo and continue to Cusco by private transportation. Visit Awanacancha, Pisac, and Ollantaytambo while traveling through the Sacred Valley. After soaking in the spectacular views, take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes, where you’ll have time for lunch (not included). All pre-trek briefings are personally conducted at your hotel in Cusco around 5:00 pm, one or two day before your trek or tour begins. The meeting lasts approximately 30 to 45 minutes and is an essential part of your preparation. It’s very important to be well acclimated to the altitude before starting any trek. Cusco lies at 3,400 meters (11,150 ft) above sea level, and your body needs time to adjust to the thinner air.
