Machu Picchu Circuit 2 or Inka City Circuit

Due to its comprehensive tour of the most famous locations and breathtaking views, Machu Picchu Circuit 2, also known as the Classic Circuit, is the favorite among tourists. Circuit 2 is the most comprehensive of all the Machu Picchu circuits and covers most of the site.

This circuit takes you to most of the temples and the sacred rock (you cannot enter the Temple of the Sun and the Royal Palace, however, instead you walk beneath them) and explores the lower terraces in depth.

• Route 2-A: The Designed Route
• Route 2-B: The Lower Terraces Route

Route 2-A: Designed Route (with the Classic View of Machu Picchu).

Route 2-B: Lower Terrace Route or Llaqta Circuit

This is one of the new circuits to visit Machu Picchu and is one of the most complete as it allows travelers to visit almost all the areas within the Inca citadel as well as enjoy the classic view and take The popular postcard photo of Machu Picchu. It is a tour of 2 hours and 30 minutes in which you visit:

• Lower platform
• House of the watchman
• Dry Well, Tectonic Fault
• Viewpoint: Temple of the Sun
• Granite Chaos
• Temple Plaza
• Pyramid of Intiwatana
• Sacred Rock
• Twelve openings
• Oriental deposits
• Water mirrors
• Temple of the Condor
• Pisonay Plaza
• Archaeological Reserve
