Day 01: Cusco – Cloud Forest – Pilcopata.

Highlight of the Day: Travel from the Andes into the Amazon rainforest while searching for the iconic Cock-of-the-Rock and other cloud forest wildlife.

Departure from Cusco at 5:30 a.m. in our private minivan. The journey passes through scenic Inter-Andean valleys and traditional farming communities, providing a glimpse of rural Peru and introducing travelers to a true Amazon adventure. Midday, we visit the pre-Inca tombs of Ninamarca, known as “chullpas,” significant archaeological sites in the region.

Afterward, we arrive at Paucartambo, a colonial town that preserves its historic charm and cultural heritage. Continuing the trip, we ascend to Abra of Acjanaco at 3,850 meters above sea level, offering spectacular views during this multi-day Manu National Park trip.
