The train ride offers stunning views of the canyon, with several sections of beautiful whitewater rapids. Keep an eye out for the Wiñay Wayna archaeological site on the steep canyon walls as you pass by. After about two hours, you’ll arrive in Ollantaytambo, where a bus will take you back to Cusco. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel to rest after an unforgettable journey. Note: The Machu Picchu Inca site is different from Machu Picchu Mountain. When people refer to Machu Picchu, they are usually referring to the archaeological site. If you’re interested in climbing Machu Picchu Mountain, it requires a separate permit and must be booked in advance. Please let us know if you would like to add this to your itinerary.
